Summary:
Collaborates with leadership on identification, evaluation, selection and implementation of restaurant technology solutions. Documents requirements, manages RFP process, coordinates meetings and demonstrations. Leads testing and evaluation of solutions in a lab environment and pilot sites. Plans, directs and coordinates activities of system deployments. Provides project management and support for multiple projects. Manages projects to completion on time, under budget and within scope. Manage vendor relationships to ensure a smooth deployment of all restaurant technologies. Manage budget and resources for each project and deployment. Provides timely and accurate management reporting. May also function in Business Analyst capacity as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT and Operations leadership to help identify, evaluate, select and implement technology solutions for the restaurants
- Coordinate the installation, testing and evaluation of solutions in a lab environment
- Manage the deployment of selected solutions to the restaurants
- Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks and contingency plans
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks
- Coordinate activities of project personnel, whether internal or third-party resources, to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
- Delegate work, prioritize tasks, and follow-up to ensure objectives and deadlines are met
- Provide hands-on management and delivery of multiple projects to meet technology and business requirements on time and within budget
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure a smooth deployment of all restaurant technologies
- Manage budget and resources for each project and deployment
- Communicate timely updates to departmental and senior management on the status of key projects to ensure objectives are met and priorities reestablished regularly
- Responsible for effective project kickoff, identification of all project stakeholders, defining and clarifying project roles and responsibilities
- Work with all stakeholders to identify and confirm resource requirements throughout the project life cycle
- Use standard company-provided project software to build detailed, effort-driven project schedules and collaborate through project team site
- Maintain accurate and timely project information in all project plans, communications, and status reporting
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may negatively impact a project or project deliverable; document and communicate status, escalate as appropriate
- Manage scope, minimizes our exposure and risk across multiple projects
- Ability to manage and participate at different levels on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and exceed goals in high-pressure situations
- Ensure technical documentation for the department is written for reference during trouble-shooting and future systems development
- Executive presentations of current systems, new functionality, and systems benefits
- Set a high standard for all department personnel, well-respected by its users as responsive, accurate, and high quality
- Build and maintain relationships with IT, business and brand leaders
- Provide regular and timely feedback to team members and their respective managers
- Promote the effective teamwork and spirit of partnership
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide direction and supervision to assigned project team members.
Qualifications:

Educations and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
- 5-7 years' experience in a Project Management role including significant experience managing large projects and multiple, concurrent IT projects
- Experience with restaurant or retail systems such as Point of Sale, BackOffice (Inventory & Labor Scheduling), Mobile Ordering, Payments, Digital Menu Boards, Kiosks, Ordering PODs, Loyalty Programs, Catering, Call Centers, etc.
Knowledge and Skills
- Firm understanding of project management and application development methodologies, tools and techniques
- Strong leadership and general management, including conflict resolution and negotiation
- Excellent written/verbal communications and analytical skills required
- Ability to organize and present material in a manner to gain agreement or acceptance
- Must have the ability to express ideas persuasively and clearly
- Must have good written and oral communication skills
- Must have strong analytical, organization and planning skills
- Possesses sufficient knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change
- Expert problem solver; finds simple answers to complex questions or problems; thinks outside the box; uses knowledge gained through prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
- Able to document and present technical issues to be understood at a non-technical level
- Thorough understanding of PC architecture, networking, and distributed systems
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
- Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software
