This Corporate/Contracts Paralegal will support the company by leveraging expertise in legal contracts within the consumer food industry. This role requires strong skills in analyzing, drafting, and negotiating agreements, including manufacturing, confidentiality, and other standard agreements pertinent to the food manufacturing sector. The individual will also provide guidance and strategic support on various business and legal issues arising from day-to-day operations, play a key role in risk mitigation, drive efficient commercial processes, prepare agreements, and protect the company's interests.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on various agreements, including confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, consumer food manufacturing agreements, master service agreements with outside vendors, distributor agreements, and other standard business contracts.
Collaborate with internal and external business partners to gather facts, assess legal risks, and provide advice to safeguard the company.
Provide education and training to internal business partners to ensure legal awareness and effective risk management.
Support the company in various legal duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, and a minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience in-house with a consumer food product company or food product manufacturer, or with a law firm specializing in legal services for the consumer food manufacturing or consumer food products industries.
Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of food industry-specific contracts.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface professionally with outside and opposing counsel, as well as various business teams within the company across all management levels.
Sound decision-making skills, excellent organizational and analytical abilities, and the capability to handle tense situations directly.
Strong negotiation skills to engage in contract negotiations and ensure the company's interests are represented.
Excellent oral communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external contacts, coordination of legal activities, and legal advisement.
Strong written communication skills for drafting documents, making recommendations, and communicating with both internal and external customers.
Preferred but not required: solid foundation in IP law.
Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency and timeliness.
