Corporate Counsel, Ring - Amazon

We are looking for a talented attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving Devices business. Key job responsibilities You will serve as the primary lawyer responsible for a broad range of matters, including product support, marketing, privacy, and regulatory compliance. You will work directly with the business, providing day-to-day input on business and strategy, and serving as counsel on strategic issues. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly. Some travel, domestic and international, will be required. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of legal experience - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work - Prior privacy or product counsel experience - Ability to demonstrate great judgment even in ambiguous situations - Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams - Ability to build rapport with and earn trust of business partners - Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines - Strong written and oral communication skills Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
