Job Summary
The Corporate Director of Marketing will lead our growing team of marketing strategists, writers, multimedia content creators, designers and project managers. The Corporate Director of Marketing is responsible for the development of strategic marketing plans, programs and campaigns that support Sundt's growth in new and existing markets and our focus on recruiting top talent. This is a senior level position and is located in Tempe, Arizona and will report to the Chief Communications Officer.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborates and leverages resources and expertise, where possible, across all business units.
2. Directly supervises, develops and mentors marketing personnel, leveraging individual skills, maximizing efficiency, streamlining processes, and prioritizing projects.
3. Drives the development of marketing strategies and implements marketing tactics in support of campaigns, programs and events in traditional and new media to build brand awareness among key audiences.
4. Enhances corporate culture and helps drive performance through our internal communications and employee relations programs.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
6. Prepares annual budget and manages annual department spend.
7. Remains up to date on innovative communications, marketing, advertising and technology trends.
8. Serves as lead marketing strategist and planner for business units, working with regional business development teams, business unit leadership and marketing and PR resources.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. 10+ years of marketing experience preferably in B2B professional services environment, with at least 8 years in a marketing leadership role.
2. Ability to meet multiple deadlines on various projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
3. Bachelors Degree preferably in Marketing, Public Relations or relevant field.
4. Creative, collaborative and solution-oriented.
5. Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, critical and abstract thinking, and ability to implement projects using strong leadership and analytical skills.
6. Experience planning and assessing comprehensive communications, marketing and advertising campaigns including campaign strategy and design, writing, coordination, stakeholder engagement, execution and analysis.
7. Knowledge of Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry strongly desired but not required.
8. Proficient user of technology, including Microsoft Office.
9. Public relations experience helpful but not required.
10. Strong communication and mediation skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interface with team members, company leadership and front-line employees.
