Corporate Experience/Past Performance Proposal Writer - Accenture Federal Services

About the Job
You Are:
The proposal development center (PDC) at AFS is seeking an experienced Corporate Experience / Past Performance Writer to join its team. The writer will primarily focus on developing compliant and compelling corporate experience / past performance citations and volumes, as well as developing effective corporate experience sections. The writer is also expected to contribute to team-wide internal initiatives. Occasionally, the writer might be requested to conduct editorial reviews, color-team reviews, and one-voice edits of past performance volumes.
While much of the work will be done in a team setting, the writer is expected to work efficiently on their own, under minimal guidance, as they develop past performance content. As an integral part of the proposal team, the writer will work closely with the proposal management team, collaborate with program subject matter experts, and collaborate with other parts of the AFS sales organization across all four AFS Portfolios. This tight interlock ensures that past performance volumes satisfy client requirements (compliant) and relate the client's solution and buyer values (compelling).
The Work:
- Participate in bid strategy meetings to understand the requirements, win themes, and win strategy.
- Participate in proposal status meetings as frequently as they are scheduled.
- Understand the requirements of complex solicitations (IDIQ, GWAC, Task Order Responses, Recompetes, etc…) and advise the proposal management team on any risks, issues, and questions related to the past performance volume.
- Assist client account teams & proposal team leadership (capture, opportunity director) to identify the most suitable credentials that meet/exceed the solicitation's requirements by developing past performance matrices.
- Support the development of compliant past performance outlines that meet RFX requirements. Ensure the response aligns with the RFP instructions, evaluation criteria and PWS.
- Collaborate closely with authors, capture managers, and opportunity directors to clearly articulate Accenture's strengths, differentiation, and value proposition in the context of past performance citations.
- Develop compliant, compelling, and complete past performance citations and volumes that increase AFS' win probability in response to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. Participate in, and recover from, color team reviews.
- Adhere to proposal writing best practices and PDC standards as it relates to styles, guidelines, templates, and restrictions.
- Interface with project teams' program managers and subject matter experts to elicit information required for compliance and maximum evaluation scores.
- Occasionally, the writer will be asked to assist project teams develop credentials for the respective programs. These are different from past performance citations developed for a specific pursuit.
- Contribute and collaborate in supporting ongoing PDC and Accenture corporate initiatives.
- Proactively seek opportunities within the PDC team to lead/contribute to operational initiatives and increase knowledge across PDC functions.
Here's What You Need:
- US Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, English or an equivalent college degree.
- 3+ years of direct experience in federal procurements in a professional services environment.
- 2+ years of proposal writing experience with a focus on past performance.
- Proficiency in writing, and proofreading, including industry editorial style guides (AP, Chicago, etc…)
- Demonstrates strong attention to details, and the ability to meet tight schedules.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a large organization.
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience working proposals with values of $100M and higher
- Professional Proposal Management Certification
- Ability to obtain security clearance

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
