We're seeking an experienced Corporate Risk Manager to lead our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program and ensure we maintain full compliance with banking laws, regulations, and internal policies. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee critical compliance functions while working closely with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to shape the future of risk management in our organization.
About the Role:
As our Corporate Risk Manager, you will lead key functions across BSA / AML / OFAC, Deposit and Loan Compliance, and Risk Management, including fraud prevention and detection. Your leadership will be crucial in developing risk models, ensuring operational controls, and providing data-driven insights to enhance compliance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Risk Management & Compliance: Design and implement a comprehensive risk management process to protect the organization from financial, reputational, and regulatory risks.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work with our executive team to establish risk tolerances and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- Regulatory Oversight: Keep the Board informed of critical regulations, court rulings, and compliance issues, ensuring they understand their responsibilities.
- Drive Compliance Audits: Manage compliance audits, prepare risk budgets, and ensure clear communication across all departments about risk accountability.
- Security & Loss Prevention: Oversee fraud investigations, manage security vendor relationships, and lead crisis incident response efforts.
- Mentor and Lead Teams: Provide direct supervision to the compliance team, ensuring they are fully trained, motivated, and working efficiently to meet compliance goals.
What You Bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A JD and CRCM or CAMS certifications are highly preferred.
- Compliance Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Compliance, Audit, or Bank Operations with in-depth knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC and broader regulatory requirements.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess risk, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate complex regulatory concepts to senior leaders.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills to work with various stakeholders, including executives and board members.
