Summary of Position:
The Corporate Sales Manager will be focused primarily on Meeting, Corporate Event, SMERF business, and Transient Sales. This management position wil be responsible for Inside and Outside Cold Calling Methods. A weekly action plan will be prepared with after-action reporting. Networking through Chambers, Business events, and Trade Shows. Administrative duties include but not limited to contract negotiations, preparing RFP's, working with Online Referral Programs, preparing Contracts and Banquet Event Orders, and customizing menus with the Chef.
Primary Responsibilities
- Generate dynamic and real time forecasting data and leveraging company.
- Generate sales leads, follow up on internally generated existing leads and advise the Director of Corporate Sales on new market trends, risks, opportunities, etc.
- Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
- Assists in formulating all sales policies, practices and procedures.
- Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Views all contracts, menus and paperwork for the clients. Reviews al signed contracts and handles any issues/concerns with clients.
- Responsible for inside and outside cold calling methods. A weekly action plan prepared.
- Networking through the Chambers and Business events, Trades Shows, etc.
- Negotiates contracts through RFPs, and works with online referral programs. Customizes menus with the Chef.
- Attending all meetings, ni house and outside. Prepare 2 in house site routes, 3-5 outside visits and 25 prospecting calls (cold calls) and 2 contract reviews.
- Attention to detail; Mature, professional interaction with associates, guests and business contacts; Ability to work under pressure; Ability to prioritize work; Ability to keep confidences and keep work confidential; Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time; Maintain and develop relationships that will benefit the East Wind and drive future business.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
- Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team.
- Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literate; Word and Excel required.
