About the Client's Tax Practice:

The tax team focuses on a broad range of transactional tax matters, including:

• Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Both domestic and cross-border.
• Investment Partnerships: Advising on fund formation, acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Renewable Energy Projects: Tax structuring and federal tax credits/incentives.
• Transactional Tax Planning: Tailoring structures to meet business and financial goals.
• Special Tax Counsel: Providing expertise to law firms, accounting firms, and investment banks.

Responsibilities:

The firm is seeking a mid-level associate in New York to:

• Advise on M&A, debt, financing transactions, and portfolio investments.
• Design and implement tax-efficient structures for joint ventures and corporate transactions.
• Provide state tax planning advice.

Qualifications:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school (LLM in Taxation preferred).
• Admitted or eligible for admission in New York.
• Minimum 4 years of transactional tax experience in a major law firm practice, focusing on corporate and partnership taxation.
• Experience in energy, real estate, and international taxation preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $310,000 to $365,000.
