We're currently seeking a Corrections RN to join our amazing team.

Details of the Corrections RN opening:

• Anticipated start date: 03/04/2024
• Salary: $1403.33 - $1620.68 weekly
• Anticipated duration of assignment: 13 weeks
• Anticipated schedule: 3x12 Nights

Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Corrections RN:

• Collaborates with primary care providers and other health care providers to ensure continuity, timeliness and appropriateness of care to inmate patients.
• Coordinates and/or administers medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, to inmate patients.
• Assists physicians with medical treatments.
• Administers prescribed medication.
• Applies surgical dressings & bandages.
• Provides emergency first aid care.
• Checks & records vital signs.
• Obtains specimens from inmate patients for diagnostic testing.
• Reports reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the inmates' emotional or physical condition.
• Provides inmate patient education and/or discharge planning.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.
• Promotes a therapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated in a professional, ethical and tactful manner.

Qualifications for the Corrections RN:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse with active license(s) in the state(s) in which employed and practices.
• One or more year(s) of Corrections experience.
• Advanced knowledge of EMRs.
• Current BLS/BCLS and/or ACLS certifications.
