About the Job
The HEDIS Correspondence Coordinator is often the first line of communication between provider office and the insurance company. Therefore, strong telephone and customer skills are a must.
(Remote must live in PA/NJ)
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Normal business hours availability (8 hours a day, 5 days per week) some limited flexibility available on a case-by-case basis
High-speed internet access
Basic knowledge of how to use a laptop, iPhone
Strong MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat
Ability to Multitask
VERY Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
VERY Strong telephone & customer service skills
PREFERRED:
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
College degree or Some college
RESPONSIBILITIES will include (but not limited to):
Contacting/scheduling provider offices up to at least 3 times to request medical records and documenting each outreach in the database to ensure ample provider coverage.
Communicate effectively and professionally with office managers, health systems, and any other facility or care providers.
Attend & successfully complete remote training for up to first two weeks of project. (Training is paid)
PDF Review Includes highlighting member demographics (Name & DOB) using Adobe Acrobat Reader, distributing & notifying Field Nurse and Clinical Quality Lead of new member charts for review/entry
Abide by all Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and patient confidentiality requirements
Additional tasks as assigned by the HEDIS Lead Nurse & Research Project Coordinator
