Cost Accountant to be responsible for analyzing and verifying complex financial information, to include creation and maintenance of production models.
Qualifications:
• Experience in Cost Accounting
• Knowledge of ERP System
• Experience in financial reporting
Cost Accountant Responsibilities:
• Identify and recommend effective solutions towards process improvements while providing leadership and direction
• Internal contacts with employees at all levels in the organization. External contacts may include vendors and customers
• Assist in preparing financial reporting, reconciling general ledger accounts and performing month-end close activities
• Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company
• Maintains existing production models, and assesses need to implement new tracking mechanisms to assist management in decision making
• Price Volume Mix analysis
• Audit price and cost inputs within ERP system
• Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliations and balance sheet trend analysis
• Cross train to perform critical duties of accounting team, to include Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and reporting deadlines
• Ensure transactions are performed within a sound internal control environment, in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxely (SOX) key controls
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources.
