Join KARL STORZ, a leading medical technology company, as a Cost Accounting Manager - Continuous Improvement. In this critical role, you will standardize and harmonize cost accounting processes across US sites, driving business growth through financial expertise and process improvements.
Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to lead the standardization of cost accounting processes, ensure accurate product costing and analysis, and provide financial insights to key stakeholders. As a Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate with Production Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Standardize cost accounting processes across US sites
- Develop and implement process improvements
- Analyze manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions
- Create and maintain reporting packages to support business needs
- Collaborate with IT to maintain financial controls and master data within SAP
- Lead financial presentations and meetings
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 15+ years of costing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements in cost accounting
- In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, ERP systems, and reporting tools
- Advanced Excel, analytical, and modeling skills
- SAP experience
- Knowledgeable with GAAP accounting
- Ability to work past normal business hours and travel to KARL STORZ US locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to lean manufacturing
- MBA, CPA, or CMA
