The Cost Analyst possess an in-depth knowledge of cost-management systems, as well as basic computer
software. They are responsible for preparing statements and reports, overseeing audit files, attending meetings to provide financial feedback, and training employees in cost management methods.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommends and directs changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement processes.
- Gathers and analyzes financial data.
- Develops money-saving strategies.
- Determines the standard costs, investigates variances with actual costs, and suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports; both periodically and ad-hoc.
- Conducts audits on financial processes and transactions.
- Monitors changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs.
- Forecasts and analyzes costs of processes, labor, and inventory.
- Ensures that cost forecasting reports are consistently checked and applied.
- Conducts market research to support future business planning.
- Monitors and documents actual and estimate reports.
- Stays up-to-date on project budgets and project spending.
- Examines data to help with reducing cost in all operations.
- Analyzes the market and identify opportunities for growth and potential risks.
- Develops yearly operation plans, budgets, and estimating new product costs, including economic analysis.
- Follows and adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures.
- Creates and/or modifies documents using QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- 6 months to 1 year of work related experience.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Analytical Skills - ability to collect, organize, and manipulate large databases in order to draw
- conclusions, and find solutions to increase profitability.
- Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations.
- Computer Skills – proficient in MS Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
