Cost Analyst - Injection Molding
Location: Shelby Township, MI (48315)
Pay Rate: $50k-$80k/year

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days , depending on customer payment terms.

Summary:
Assist with estimating and quoting processes for the plastic manufacturing industry, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
Position Responsibilities :
- Quote Coordination: Coordinate and manage quote responses, ensuring they are returned to customers in a timely manner.
- Part Weight Calculation: Use CAD data to calculate part weights for accurate cost estimation.
- Material Pricing Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date pricing for raw materials, particularly plastics, and assist in purchasing raw materials as needed.
- Data Gathering & Analysis: Support engineering projects by gathering and analyzing relevant data to improve project efficiency and decision-making.
- Customer Quotation History: Maintain and update the history of customer quotations for future reference and tracking.
- Spreadsheets & Portals: Upload and manage spreadsheets into customer portals, ensuring data is accurate and well-organized.
- Software Familiarity: Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email for documentation and communication. Familiarity with Epicor and other ERP systems is a plus.
- Cost Optimization: Contribute creative cost-saving ideas to optimize materials and processes for the business.
Required Experience:
- 1+ years experience in injection molding part analysis (cost analysis)
- Expertise in ERP systems and Excel
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). College Degree preferred.
