Cost Analyst (Job #569) - Defense Acquisition Support Services LLC

Summary

DAS Services is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to provide cost-estimating support.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, analyze, and evaluate costs of major and non-major areas of Army acquisition and sustainment.
• Develop, modify, and validate cost and economic analyses in support of cost-effective decision making.
• Analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models.
• Responsible for utilizing judgement, contacts within the DoD cost community, and extensive background to perform analysis of organizational issues or concerns and presenting findings to leadership.
• Perform integrated analysis and cost estimating of Army programs, efforts, and activities as they relate to all phases of the Acquisition life cycle to include: Research and Development, Procurement, and Operations and Sustainment.
• Perform tasks to include organizing, coordinating, and synthesizing the contributions of other analysts, functional areas, and organizations in addition to the incumbents own investigative analysis.
• Prepare high level presentations, analyses, and reports of significant findings for evaluation.
• Analyze, model, and transform data to highlight useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Active Secret Clearance
• B.A. /B.S. Degree in Operations Research or closely related field required
• 5 years related experience preparing cost estimates in accordance with the most current version of the DODI 5000.02 and other DoD guidance required
• Proficient in Acquisition strategy and financial analyst
• Possess expert knowledge of Army Cost Estimating Elements, Cost and Economic Analysis regulations, DoD Financial laws, regulations, and guidance
• Extensive knowledge of, and working proficiency in, cost and economic analysis concepts, data analysis, and mathematical and statistical disciplines
