Job Overview::As a result of our company's growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to join our team in White Plains, New York.
Responsibilities & Duties::Services include but are not limited to the following:
- Update, review, and disseminate cost reports to Project Teams monthly or as frequently as dictated by the client.
- Track Schedule of Values (“SoV") for each Purchase Order (“PO”)
- Participate in Draft Invoice Review, and ensure estimate accruals align to draft invoices and SoV
- Ensure sufficient funding and accurate posting of costs
- Tracking of retention
- Initiate PO Funding changes as needed
- Track actual expenditures to budget at level of detail determined by project team and maintain explanations of variances
- Monitor Project Change Orders and Contingency reserves
- Identify, Monitor, and Report Project risks as it relates to cost
- Collect and verify estimate and open invoice accruals for accuracy
- Monitoring of and assistance in developing financial authorizations
- Participation in all required team meetings
- Billing assurance where applicable
- Assist with ad hoc project adjustments and corrections such as Journal Entries, PO adjustments, Invoice corrections, Work Order (“WO”) adjustments, etc.
- Assist with administrative closeout for Projects, including project cost reconciliation
- Generate or assist in generation of training materials
- Develop accurate budget submission for each project
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in one of the above or related fields.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the following or related fields: Cost analytics, finance, program management, project management, accounting, or operations.
- Experience working with cost tracking analysis, forecasting, budgets, and accounting principles is a must.
- Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders positively and collaboratively.
- Demonstrate a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in SAP preferred.
- Able to work a hybrid schedule and report to the White Plains office as needed
The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets.
