PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
- 3 years of general engineering or accounting experience.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, analytical skills
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to analyze time studies to set labor standards, mechanical ability that would allow the search for new and better equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to the manufacturing areas.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Coordinate between the Sales, Accounting and Engineering disciplines to ensure all new and existing process costs and reporting functions integrate successfully.
- Ability to perform and present with confidence and facts to all levels of the corporation.

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing labor and material standards to generate cost models for new and existing part cost estimates and analysis. Provide accounting support for shop floor data collection to ensure accurate reporting of labor and material consumption for budgeting, forecasting and production department cost tracking and development. This position will also be responsible for reviewing Bill of Material (BOM) changes; will be the business process owner for changes in the manufacturing processes; and will participate in manufacturing improvement projects as a cost/processing support.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;
- Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations;
- Wear all required personal protective equipment;
- Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
- Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
- Attend required EHS train
