A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GLASS INSTALLATION COST ESTIMATOR
As a Glass Installation Estimator, you have the important job of creating accurate estimates for our potential clients. Each day you access our CRM (customer relationship management) system to follow up with new leads. You have the technical ability required to analyze diagrams and assess the correct measurements. Thanks to your strong mathematical aptitude, you can easily perform accounting tasks and calculate formulas using fractions. With careful attention to detail, you perform data entry duties, inputting measurements into a company software program to determine cost.
In addition to having a knack for numbers, you also have great communication skills. You can clearly explain plans, cost estimates, and timelines to clients, vendors, and associates as needed. Committed to providing excellent customer service, you are happy to address customer pricing concerns. Thinking analytically, you capably solve practical problems and find creative solutions that are cost-effective while meeting safety guidelines. Maintaining a friendly demeanor and a can-do attitude, you help projects move forward into the appropriate workflow for follow-up and job completion.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GLASS INSTALLATION COST ESTIMATOR
- 2 years of related job estimating experience in the construction, remodeling, or home improvement industries
- Training with measuring and calculating fractions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
A bachelor's degree in accounting or construction management is preferred but not required. Do you have the ability to perform accounting tasks with speed and accuracy? Can you communicate well with others, both verbally and in writing? Do you have great attention to detail? If yes, you might just be perfect for this estimating job!
WORK SCHEDULE FOR A GLASS INSTALLATION COST ESTIMATOR
This office position works a typical schedule of Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm.
