SUMMARY
The CostEstimator will providecostestimationoversightacrossthenation. This positionreportstotheSenior DirectorofCostEstimation, oranothermanagementpersonnelthatthePresidentofthe Company maydesignate. This position reports to the Irvine, CA office but willmaintainan In-Office or hybrid schedule of working out of their home office and the Irvine, CA office. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 30% of the time.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Costestimationoversight in the US
- Support Sales and Development teambyexecutingengineering design and estimatingtasks, including, but not limited tothefollowing
- Site evaluation, review projectdocuments, include environmental reports, identifymitigationrequirementstodeterminethefeasibilityoftheproject
- Makerecommendations on actionstoreducebothtechnical and businessrisk
- Preparescopesofworkforsub – contractors and workcloselywithprocurementteamtoconfirmcosts
- Ability togenerate PVSYST reportsis a plus
- Confirmequipmentspecificationsincludingbillofmaterialsforthe BOS
- Knowledge ofelectricalcalculations, includingwireloss, wiresizing, equipmentrating, over-currentprotection, etc.
- Safety Risk assessment and associatedcosts
- Works withProcurementteamtoconfirm material estimates
- Conduct sitevisitsasnecessary
- Assists with Research and Development asrequiredbyobtainingcostestimates and performingproductanalysis on newtechnology and equipment
- Review costestimates, responsiblefordistributionofcostestimatingtasks
- Assist withthesalesproposal and biddocumentstoclients
- Ability totravelupto 30%
- Perform otherduties and specialprojects, asassignedbytheVicePresidentofContract Management
- Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’sdegree in engineering, statistics, finance, economics, orlicensedcontractor
- Minimum of 5 yearsof Utility Solar estimatingexperience
- Willingnesstotraveldomestically and internationally, upto 30%
- Advancedknowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and estimatingplatforms
- High degreeofprofessionalism and conduct at all times
- Demonstrated track recordofdeliveringresults
- Willingnesstoworklonghours and under time pressureenvironments
- Ability tointeractwith senior-level managementinternally and externally

The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in Irvine, CA. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. If candidates are considered for a nationwide role, then the compensation range will follow the marketability of the job function within those states.
