Cost Estimator (Plastic Injection Molding) – Youngstown / Warren, Ohio #24-00104

Salary Range: $55K - $65K Permanent Position / Benefits

Busy Youngstown / Warren, Ohio area Plastic Parts Manufacturer seeks a Cost Estimating Engineer.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience specific to Plastic Injection Molding.
• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (Project Management, Advance Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering).
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
• Solid modeling experience, preferably with SolidWorks.
• Experience with any MRP/ERP Software, preferably with IQMS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all quoting and cost estimating activities for the company.
• Analyze customer designs and technical specifications to accurately estimate manufacturing costs.
• Generate tooling specifications and solicit tooling quotes from outside vendors
• Solicit vendor quotes as needed for raw materials, components, packaging and secondary equipment.
• Generate quote proposals and lead internal quote review meetings.
• Provide technical support to assist sales in closing on new business opportunities.
• Review preliminary DFM reports and facilitate discussions with customers and outside vendors to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Identify manufacturing feasibility concerns and facilitate engineering reviews to address
