Overview:
LMI seeks a mid-level cost estimator to support a federal program management office in Dayton, OH. This opportunity is for the initial 16-week phase of a project with additional follow-on work potential. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client make critical business decisions and deliver capability in the future. The estimator will assist our clients by analyzing current production cost per tail and developing estimates for production volume increases.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis of existing program costs,
- Assist in the development of GAO compliant budget quality estimates,
- Provide support for the development of cost baselines and guidance on the estimation of aircraft production costs,
- Compute decision making metrics for comparisons of all alternatives such as net life cycle savings, net present value and payback period,
- Provide estimates and input to support the Program Office Memorandum (POM) cycle,
- Ensure financial transparency for the customer.
Qualifications |
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, finance, math, engineering, or a related discipline,
- Active DoD Secret Clearance,
- Previous work with the Department of Defense is a plus,
- Experience with the PPB&E process is desired,
- 5 years of DoD cost estimating experience – more is a plus,
- Relevant cost estimating certifications with ICEAA or AACE is desired,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint,
- Experience with ACEIT and Crystal Ball software is a plus,
- Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders,
- Ability to work problems and provide solutions to the client independently with minimal direction,
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written,
- A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
