About the Job
This position serves as the link between Operations and Cost Management for the region in which they operate. Duties will include tracking and reporting daily productions on all jobs under their purview. Communicating these daily production expectations while understanding manpower counts and daily activities on all jobs will be a direct responsibility. Reporting known production goals daily prior to work starting and daily result of production achieved for each job and communicating this to Operations will be critical. This role will be critical in achieving optimum manpower/resource usage while at the same time understanding actual productions achieved in order to allow the Estimating department to continually adjust estimated productions to fit the resources on hand. This role will require a mastery of cost management and production tracking skills. Utilizing the tools, the CSI has to help generate production goals and track actual productions will be critical. A full understanding of cost forecasting, job budgets, production units (units/mh, mh/unit, $/unit, unit/$, etc…). Continuous communication with Operations, Project Teams, and Estimating discussing production goals, manpower requirements, and productions achieved.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Office based role with a full understanding of field operations and construction practices utilized in our industry
- Daily knowledge of actual manpower on each job along with daily knowledge of activities being performed on each job.
- Development of systems used to best quantify, project, and collect quantities and production achieved on a daily basis.
- Daily calculations of production goals by cost code for each project along with daily recording of actual productions achieved.
- Daily communication with Operations staff and Project teams in order to best utilize manpower on site while adhering to productions required/achieved.
- Daily/weekly production reports for all jobs developed and sent out to project teams and regional operations.
- Weekly communications with Cost Management department in STL in order to align regional goals with overall company goals.
- Continued development of processes and systems necessary to achieve full visibility of daily production goals and actuals achieved.

- 15+ years of self-perform construction experience
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Engineer recommended.
- Complete knowledge of construction principles/practices required
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
- Project set up, budget planning, and cost reporting experience is a must
- Complete understanding of critical path scheduling.
- Successfully managed multiple self perform concrete projects with successful outcomes.
- Experience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
- Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
