Sigma Healthcare team is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant who will provide Occupational Therapy and related services for patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
Shift :MON-FRI, 8:00-5:00
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
Sigma Healthcare team is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant who will provide Occupational Therapy and related services for patients under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
Shift :MON-FRI, 8:00-5:00
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
- Assist licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients recover and enhance their daily living skills.
- Conduct therapy sessions, including exercises and therapeutic activities, to improve motor skills, strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
- Document patient progress, changes, and responses to therapy in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and activities to promote continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and the best outcomes for patients.
- Comply with facility and state regulations, as well as national certification standards for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
- Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Current state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in the state of the assignment.
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a COTA,.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to new environments and work collaboratively with diverse healthcare teams.
