Job DescriptionThe Counselor – Living Well reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with development and implementation of psychosocial support programs that directly support the strategic plan and vision of Living Well Cancer Resource Center.
- Assist with development and implementation of psychosocial support programs that directly support the strategic plan and vision of Living Well Cancer Resource Center.
- Participate in development and execution of process and quality improvement initiatives and track outcomes and productivity.
- Provide counseling services for cancer patients, caregivers of cancer patients and those bereaved in the oncology community.
- Facilitate support groups for cancer patients, caregivers of cancer patients and those bereaved in the oncology community.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Some evening availability is necessary
Required:
- Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- 3 years of experience in Counseling or Social Work
- CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Bi-lingual
