Position Summary | The TEASC Project provides interdisciplinary, consultative evaluations for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD), along with training and conducting research in the field. We are seeking a .5 FTE Counselor/Social Worker with significant experience in service for individuals with IDD, to provide consultative services in behavioral support and state IDD support services, as part of an interdisciplinary team. This person will participate in TEASC consultative evaluations, provided state-wide, as well as Adult Special Needs Clinic, a collaborative clinic located in Albuquerque. May also provide technical assistance on behavioral and support services individually or as part of a small team. This person will also participate in trainings and research in the field of best practices in care for individuals with IDD. This will include collaboration in developing and writing talks and proposals. |

Minimum Qualifications | Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or directly related field; at least 6 months of directly related experience which may include internship and/or practicum.Certification/LicensureNM licensure as LPCC, LPC, LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent level, OR licensed out of state and eligible for NM licensure. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
Preferred Qualifications | Preferences Interest in and significant (5 years +) experience working with individuals with IDD. Advanced education and LPCC/licensure in counseling. Extensive knowledge of NM State systems of support for individuals with IDD, including experience locating services for individuals in rural/underserved areas of the state. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams. |
Additional Requirements | This is a term position, will be extended each year dependent on renewed contract funding. |
