About the Job
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Works in the store environment receiving, loading, and stocking products. Handles all functions of counter and pickup customers. Works with forklifts and pallet trucks. Assists store manager as directed.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Assist walk-in customers with questions about products, applications, and pricing.
- Process sales, including entering orders, pulling products out of inventory, and scheduling delivery or helping customers load orders.
- Provides quotes to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge
- Order fulfillment with pick accuracy and reporting inventory shortages to management
- Loads and unloads freight in a safe and efficient manner
- Assists service technicians in assembling required equipment, parts, and accessories for job orders
- Stock new inventory and product returns
- Receive product transfers and orders into the inventory system
- Assist in ordering product from store level vendors
- Maintain cash draw
- Ensures all the necessary paperwork is completed correctly and delivered to the correct department Check all materials for damage and correctness
- Follows all administrative and operating policies, procedures, government regulations, and company policies.
- Help maintain facility, including stocking levels, cleanliness, and organization of the branch.
- All other duties as assigned
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift experience preferred
- 2 years of retail sales experience preferred
- 3 years of customer service experience preferred
- Professional telephone and email skills/communication
- Demonstrates Customer-First attitude and behavior
