CPA / Accountant - Tax Preparer (Permanent PT or FT) - PaytonCo

Heyman & Associates, PLLC is a small and dynamic public accounting firm in Round Rock, TX seeking a permanent part-time or full-time staff accountant to join our team. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual with a full range of experience in accounting, tax preparation, and business advisory services.

Essential Functions

• Perform a broad range of accounting services including, but not limited to, bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning and tax preparation, and various aspects of business advisory under the direction of the principals
• Demonstrate commitment to competency in technical skill, work quality, efficiency, and application of professional and firm standards
• Prepare and complete reports, projects, work papers, and duties as assigned or determined
• Provide full service and personal attention to all firm clients developing and maintaining long term relationships
• Organize client data, analyze information, and prepare tax returns including forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041
• Meet time constraints and deadlines

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required), or Master's degree in Accounting (preferred)

Licensed Certified Public Accountant (preferred), or CPA Candidate

Enrolled Agent if not a licensed CPA

Must have 3 + years experience in public accounting and tax preparation

Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills

Experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus
