As a Utility Locator on our team, you will Document the location, and type of identified underground utilities.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to integrate GPR findings into project plans.
Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including water, and sewer systems.
Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
Work overtime, these are daytime, full-time positions and overtime is required.
We have a 48-hour turnaround time on most locates, which means we generally work the
day after holidays and some weekends, as needed.
Be responsible for completing all assigned tickets by their scheduled due date.
Completing tickets consists of accurately locating and marking existing underground utilities, specifically water and sewer utilities, taking clear photos of your markings, and entering needed notes of the locate into our system.
Be able to follow driving directions from 811 One-Calls
Keep immediate supervisor/manager aware of any issues or problems in the field.
Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate and detailed information on underground structures.
Analyze GPR data to interpret subsurface conditions and identify potential obstacles or hazards.
Utilize US Radar ground penetrating radar equipment to perform subsurface surveys.
contribute to the safe and efficient execution Villages projects by preventing damage to critical infrastructure.
Be working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, and wind.
