Crane Operator - Northwest Corp.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Crane Operator to join our team. This role involves the mobilization and demobilization of boom trucks, truck cranes, and all-terrain cranes ranging from 55T to 350T. The ideal candidate will operate cranes in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant guidelines and protocols while ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of projects.

Responsibilities:  

Mobilization and Demobilization: Mobilize and demobilize boom trucks, truck cranes, and all-terrain cranes ranging from 55T to 350T for various job sites. 

Crane Operation: Operate cranes in a safe and efficient manner, following all NCCCO guidelines, manufacturer’s guidelines, and company safety protocols. Lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on job sites as directed by the project manager or supervisor. 

Inspections and Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of the crane and associated equipment to ensure proper functionality. Report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team for prompt resolution. 

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures during all operations. 

Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with ground personnel using hand signals, two-way radios, or other communication devices. Collaborate with the rigging crew to ensure proper attachment and securement of loads. 

Project Execution: Adhere to project timelines and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Ensure high-quality performance and attention to detail in all tasks. 

Job Shift and Schedule: 

• Full time Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm with occasional travel and overtime
• Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Job Qualifications:  

• Valid & Current Driver's License with a clean driving record
• OSHA 10, DOT Medical Card, and Class A CDL Certified
• Crane Operating experience and certification preferred
• Proven experience as a Crane Operator or similar role in the construction industry
• NCCCO certification or equivalent crane operator certification
• Strong understanding of crane operations, safety protocols, and rigging procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and load charts
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
