The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $105,975 to $179,112. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.
We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Bethesda, MD office four days per week.
Responsibilities:The CRE Portfolio Manager III independently manages a portion of the loan portfolio of one or more Relationship Managers. Facilitates new and existing credit underwriting. Processes loan renewals and tracks covenant compliance. Works with Relationship team to clear past dues, clear exceptions, review loan advances and pay downs, review borrowing bases. Works with the Senior Underwriter to create, update and administer credit procedures as well as review and provide input to other Portfolio Managers on the team or in the department.
Our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Team has helped to transform this region’s streetscapes. While our loans help build businesses, it’s our relationships that build neighborhoods and communities. We have successfully delivered some of the DMV’s largest community and commercial development loans, creating opportunities for the surrounding areas to thrive.
Under the leadership of Market Executives, our commercial lending teams include Relationship Mangers (RM), Portfolio Managers and Administrators, Underwriters, and Deposit Officers. Our CRE business focuses on interim, rehab, and repositioning of Commercial Property loans, including Construction and Renovation Financing across all asset types. We also facilitate permanent loans through our FHA Multifamily Lending Platform.
Qualifications:Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field or 3 additional years of commercial credit or analysis.
- 5 years of experience in portfolio management and commercial underwriting including structuring and pricing loan transactions. Must be proficient in evaluating commercial credit risk. Must be able to work autonomously with minimal oversight from the RM.
- Formal or in-house credit training required.
- Proficient in evaluating real estate credit risk.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong credit/underwriting knowledge.
- Intermediate skill level MS Office products.
- Banking product knowledge.

- MBA or Master’s Degree.
