Job DescriptionWestern Digital is currently looking for a savvy and skilled Creative Video Director who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end production of video content.
In this position, you will oversee the entire video production process, from brainstorming ideas to final editing. You will also be expected to work closely and collaborate with other stakeholders across the company to ensure that the videos align with our overall brand and messaging. This role will be responsible for creating internal and external video content.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for visual aesthetics. This role requires a visionary who can translate ideas into compelling video content that engages and resonates with diverse audiences. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our video strategy and elevating our brand presence through innovative video projects.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and plan video projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with Communications team members to determine project goals, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate all aspects of video production onsite or in studio, including shooting, editing, and post-production
- Direct on-camera requirements during shoots
- Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video production
- Ensure all videos meet quality standards and brand guidelines
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the company
- Support the development of a distribution strategy for the video content, analyze the performance of video content, and use this data to inform future production decisions
- Manage a core team of video editors and producers
- 10-12 years of video production experience at a leading brand, with a strong portfolio of work
- Proficiency with a variety of cameras and editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with 3D modeling and animation software such as Cinema 4D
- Strong creative vision and the ability to develop engaging and effective video content
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines
- Experience with onsite video production, including setting up and operating equipment, scouting locations, and coordinating with talent and crew
- Ability to travel for onsite video production shoots
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Exceptional time management, and organizational skills
- Highly collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different levels of the organization
- Curious, flexible, and the ability to think creatively
- Be willing to take risks
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, and can thrive under pressure
- Someone who has a sense of humor

Compensation & Benefits Details
- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
