About the Job
Under the direction of the SVP Chief Credit Officer, the VP Credit Administration Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Credit Administration team and partners pro-actively with the Commercial Lending team and other departments. The manager supervises a team responsible for various Credit Administration functions including but not limited to the development of bank-wide policies and procedures; small business lending credit program; provides administration of reports for various levels of internal management: Enterprise Risk Management Committee, the Board of Directors and various committees and examiners; and manages the commercial lending appraisal vendor process. Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.
Responsibilities:PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the SVP Chief Credit Officer in maintaining credit quality for the Bank through credit administration functions.
- Daily supervision of Credit Administration team. Oversees activities of the department. Conducts periodic performance reviews and provides training, advice and guidance as needed. Motivates team members and recognizes success moments.
- Partners collaboratively across departments to make a positive impact in assigned responsibilities to internal and external customers.
- Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/ practices / procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.
- Manage credit-scored Small Business Lending program and workflow process through nCino, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Participate as part of ongoing SBL project management team. Independent small business lending authority considered, depending upon experience.
- Work collaboratively with management in the development of bank-wide policies and procedures. Manage policy exception tracking of all commercial and small business loans and report results to management for review.
- Responsible for developing and enhancing internal reporting analytics along with the risk reporting analyst used to monitor the Bank’s performance and identify other risks.
- Responsible for various credit administrative tasks such as FDICIA, updating department procedures; coordination of commercial external annual loan review; regulatory audit exams; internal audit. Provide training to staff as needed. Oversees the recording of minutes for various Committees.
- Familiarity with collections; SBA Express or 7(a) lending program helpful.
- Manages the commercial appraisal vendor process and is a resource for the commercial lending team.
- Other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications:POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in specialized coursework and training, or a minimum of three to ten years of progressively responsible experience with emphasis on credit administration, credit management and commercial lending.
- Excellent analytical, managerial, planning, and organizational, communication, decision making skills, and technological skills including experience using Microsoft office programs.
- Hybrid position: Attendance in office three days and remote work two days during normal business hours (at minimum) may be required in order to effectively coordinate with multiple departments, projects and outside entities.
