About the Job
Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a Credit Analyst to join our VALUES based organization to assess the creditworthiness of individuals, companies, or organizations. Their primary role is to analyze financial data and information to determine the risk associated with extending credit.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of credit applicants, including reviewing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Evaluate the credit risk of potential clients or borrowers based on financial data, credit reports, and other relevant information.
- Utilize credit scoring models and other tools to assess the likelihood of default and make recommendations for credit approval or denial.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the credit risk of clients.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings to management, providing recommendations on credit limits, interest rates, and terms.
- Monitor the creditworthiness of existing clients by regularly reviewing financial data and promptly identifying any changes that may affect credit risk.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit assessments, decisions, and other relevant information.
Required credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with credit risk management tools and methodologies.
