About the Job
- Conduct thorough financial and risk assessments of commercial real estate loan applications
- Analyze borrower financial statements, real estate property cash flows, and market conditions to evaluate creditworthiness
- Underwrite commercial real estate loans, ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulations
- Assist in structuring loan terms and conditions that align with the client's financial objectives and risk tolerance
- Prepare detailed credit memos and present findings to senior management and credit committees
- Monitor and manage existing loan portfolios, including identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions
- Collaborate with relationship managers, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth loan processing and ongoing communication
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to enhance the credit underwriting process
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting is required
- 2-3 years of experience in commercial banking with a focus on credit analysis, lending, or loan review
- Strong knowledge of real estate market trends, financial modeling, and credit risk management
- Proficiency in financial analysis software, Microsoft Excel, and loan origination systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial data clearly
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
