Job Description:Affinius Capital is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Capital Markets team. The Capital Markets team is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and pricing debt investments and senior funding across all Affinius Capital investment vehicles as well as managing banking and warehouse relationships. The Senior Associate will work alongside Originations, Portfolio Management and Credit and will be involved in all aspects of the investment and syndication process.
Essential Duties:
- Assist with marketing, structuring, negotiating and closing loans for bridge and construction closed-end funds
- Price and review term sheets for all construction and bridge loans
- Interface with clients and senior funding counterparties such as Banks, Insurance Companies and Asset Managers
- Summarize and analyze financing quotes received. Expect to close 50 or more financings annually
- Work with Asset Management and senior funding counterparties regarding loan modifications and future funding needs
- Manage line of credit borrowings/repayments for all credit vehicles for short- and medium-term cash needs
- Partner with the Portfolio Management and Accounting teams on treasury management and certain corporate modeling activities related to fund liquidity
- Work with internal and external counterparties on new issue SASB risk retention, B-Note and Mezzanine debt investments
- Other ad hoc analyses and reporting, both for internal and external purposes
- Additional duties, as assigned
- A Bachelor's degree (in finance or real estate is preferred)
- 4 - 6 years of applicable work experience is required
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
- Excellent written and communication skills required
- Must be driven, proactive, collaborative problem-solver, self-motivated and a team-oriented individual
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities required
- Willingness and ability to travel required
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information required
- Must be willing to work on-site
- Qualifications may warrant placement in different job title.
As required by the New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL), Affinius Capital is including a good faith estimate for this role with a starting annual base salary of $150,000. The base salary is just one component of the position’s compensation package. Employees may also be eligible to participate in Affinius Capital’s discretionary Annual Bonus program and other employee benefit programs, subject to the specific terms and eligibility requirements of such programs.
