seeking a detail-oriented Loan Operations Specialist to ensure accurate
and timely processing of loan transactions. This role involves account
research, loan maintenance, escrow processing, and various financial
transactions using our systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong
communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer
service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely loan transactions, including account
research, loan maintenance, escrow processing, DDA deposits using
the APA system, and wire transfers.
- Respond to loan and deposit balance verification requests from
internal and external parties, including processing Standard CPA
Audit Confirmations, credit investigations, estate inquiries, and
governmental balance inquiries for agencies such as the Social
Security Administration and the Internal Revenue Service.
- Adhere to established industry standards for the exchange of
commercial credit information.
- Balance general ledger entries to minimize account outages and
collaborate with the Accounting department to resolve discrepancies
promptly.
- Conduct thorough reviews of various reports to identify and
alleviate potential customer impact issues, ensuring system
integrity.
- Research requests diligently, reaching logical conclusions and
executing necessary remedial actions.
- Communicate research results and resolutions effectively and in a
timely manner to all requesters.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance process efficiency,
quality, and the overall client experience; communicate innovative
ideas for real change.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external
customers, adhering to our Key Values and Key Difference concepts.
- Identify and communicate major and minor issues to appropriate
management.
- Assist team members with their daily workload to ensure timely
completion of assignments and achievement of team goals.
- Actively pursue personal development to better support the team and
advance future career opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma; some college coursework preferred.
- Strong accounting background with 1+ years of relevant experience in
bank loan and deposit products.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in systems: Hogan, ALS, CLS, Loan IQ, Lotus Notes,
Document Direct, and KeyView Deluxe.
- Working knowledge of loan accounting and related systems.
Competencies/Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proven outstanding customer service skills.
- Solid understanding of government regulations related to loan
processing.
- Familiarity with systems that provide loan information.
