Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Credit Manager to lead our credit department. The ideal candidate will oversee credit policies, manage high-value accounts, and ensure optimal cash flow while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role is crucial in balancing risk management with business growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures
- Analyze financial statements and credit reports to determine creditworthiness of new and existing customers
- Manage a portfolio of accounts ranging from $5,000 to $500,000 with a total portfolio of $7.5 million to $9.5 million at any given time
- Lead collection efforts on past-due accounts and negotiate payment terms
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to support business growth while minimizing credit risk
- Provide regular reports on credit performance and risk exposure to senior management
- Supervise and mentor the accounts receivable team
- Continuously improve credit and collection processes
- 5+ years of experience in credit (AR) management, preferably in a high-volume or B2B environment
- Strong understanding of financial statements and credit analysis techniques
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems and credit management software
