About the Role
Soaren Management is adding a Credit Risk Analytics Manager to our Fintech start-up that is stable, profitable, and rapidly growing. The Senior Manager has proven experience managing the credit risk of large loan portfolios, from underwriting through to account management strategies. This position collaborates with stakeholders across the business to execute analytical initiatives that assure portfolio growth and performance. The Manager integrates credit policy and risk management with operations strategies to facilitate efficient creation and management of volume.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain credit policy across the portfolio lifecycle for all Soaren portfolios.
- Create and implement testing strategies for credit policy in underwriting and account management.
- Assume ownership of analytical reporting supporting multiple departments, including report automation and delivery.
- Understand operational key performance indicators, report trends and patterns.
- Monitor lead and underwriting costs as part of credit risk and operations.
- Generate accurate and timely reports to support urgent requests and ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate across Operations, Compliance, IT, Finance, or other departments.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Display leadership through punctuality, and professionalism while performing required duties.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field preferred.
- 3+ years of proven experience solving complex credit risk and operational analytics problems using statistical techniques and economic logic.
- Strong SQL and data-wrangling skills; 3 + years of experience specifying and completing analyses from scratch.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Python and/or R to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Experience working in a startup environment a plus.
- Experience working in sub-prime credit a plus.
- Must meet requirements of company background check policy requirements.
