Credit Specialist - Creative Financial Staffing

Key Responsibilities of the Credit Specialist:

• Conduct collection calls and follow-up emails with customers for past-due balances in a professional manner. This is a high volume organization.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with assigned customers to facilitate collections.
• Collaborate with the sales team by hosting monthly meetings to discuss collection efforts and accounts of concern.
• Research and resolve issues contributing to account delinquency by liaising with customers.
• Work with the sales team and credit manager, when necessary, to expedite collections.
• Maintain organized and updated customer information, including contacts and communication history.
• Lead efforts to resolve and minimize customer disputes.
• Keep detailed records of issues, resolutions, and other pertinent information in the tracking system.
• Respond to customer requests for credit memos, vouchers, invoices, and statements.

Qualifications of the Credit Specialist:

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in credit and collections or a related field.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, including pivot tables.
• Experience with collection software (e.g., Getpaid, High Radius) is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and portal platforms (e.g., Smart, Ariba) is a plus.
