Job Details
Join the firm's esteemed Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights practice as a Paralegal, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the attorneys and clients with the following responsibilities:
- Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and UCC financing statements
- Correspond professionally with clients and interface with state courts throughout Florida
- Manage multiple cases, ensuring all deadlines are met and hearings are coordinated efficiently
- Conduct lien, judgment, and asset searches to support recovery efforts
- Manage bankruptcy-related tasks, including monitoring filings and preparing proofs of claim
- Assist with collections processes, foreclosure proceedings, and repossessions
- Conduct title searches and prepare reports for property-related matters
- Support attorneys in all aspects of creditors' rights work, including mediations and settlement conferences
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Creditors' Rights OR Foreclosure
- Knowledge of Florida circuit courts and foreclosure procedures
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to apply legal knowledge to complex assignments
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in legal software and MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
