The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
Participate as a non-rated crew member on approved missions flown in support of a CONUS US Government contract. Responsible for accomplishing all required non-rated crew member NRCM duties in accordance with policies and procedures. Perform duties under the supervision of the Pilot in command to include but not limited to, aircraft configuration changes to support alternate mission, aircraft cargo, personnel loading, unloading operations and passenger safety briefings. .
Key Responsibilities:
+ Participates in the hiring process for all non-rated crew-members..
+ Performs duties as the NRCM trainer/evaluator ensuring that all NRCM meet ATP responsibilities.
+ Functions as the NRCM Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all issues related to NRCM
+ PerformNRCMdutiesinaccordancewithaircrewtrainingprogramrequirements.
+ Plan and perform loading and unloading activities, compute the center-of-gravity position and ensure it is always within prescribed limits.
+ Ensurethecargocompartmentisproperlyconfiguredforeachmission.
+ Verifyandmaintainamanifestforcargoand/orpersonnel.
+ Superviseandparticipateinloading/unloadingoperations.
+ Ensurecargoandpassengersareproperlyrestrained.
+ Confirmsecurityofcargoandpassengersasnecessary.
+ Supervisepassengersduringroutineandemergencyoperations.
+ Reportanymalfunction,maintenance,orsafetyconcerntothePilot-in-Command.
+ Performemergencyprocedureactionsasrequiredbyapplicabledirectivesand/orthePilot-in-Command.
+ Performaircraftservicingdutiesincludingfuelingoperationsandaircraftconfigurationchangesasrequired.
+ Obtain and/or Maintain a U.S.SecurityClearance (SECRET)
+ PerformroutineOCONUStravelandwithinCONUStravelasrequired, up to 90 days annually, typically 2 weeks but not to exceed 30 days at a time.
+ Performotherdutiesasassigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications :
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Host nation language proficiency per contract requirement
+ 650 total rotary wing flight hours.
+ Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and 150 hours of NVG experience.
+ Experience on helicopter and associated sub systems.
+ FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic certificate.
+ Current FAA Class III Medical Certificate.
+ Strong English speaking and written communication skill.
+ SI applicants require 2 years’ experience as a NRCM or NPCP Instructor.
Preferred:
+ Combat experience and previous exposure to operations in Iraq or Afghanistan highly desired.
+ Previous experience with the M-4, Glock 19, M-249, and M-134/GAU-17 desired.
+ 5 years of experience with S-70/H-60 series, UH-1 series, CH-47 series, CH-46, MH-53 series aircraft.
+ Ability to pass physical screening
