The Town of Lincoln - an organization that believes that workforce diversity strengthens performance, integrity, trust, and partnerships with our staff, boards, committees, community, and guests - is seeking a full-time Crew member for its Highway Department.
Under the supervision of the Highway Superintendent, this position is responsible for:
- Maintaining, repairing and improving the town 's roadways and roadsides (including but not limited to pavement, trees and vegetation, walls, paths, drainage systems, curbing, roadway signs and markers and other related public works responsibilities).
- Snow plowing and clearing
- Operating the town's solid waste disposal and recycling programs (as well as other services that may be provided at the transfer station)
- Assisting the cemetery commission with interments and general care and maintenance of town cemeteries.
The crew member will be required to:
- Participate in the Department’s On-Call requirements which includes responding to off-hour work demands
- Be available for weather related events including snowstorms
Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license
- CDL Class B license and Massachusetts hoisting license (preferred) OR must have the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
- Knowledge equivalent to graduation from high school and 1-3 years of related maintenance and equipment operation experience.
