Specialized and technical work in analyzing, organizing, and presenting crime data and statistics.
Work involves collecting data pertaining to crime from various sources; conducting thorough data analyses; and presenting the information in a clear and meaningful form in accordance with instructions from a supervisor. Data is gathered by studying crime and arrest reports, monitoring computerized systems, utilizing agency dashboards and Geographic Information Systems, and analyzing crime and intelligence information from local, state, and federal agencies. Assignments are received in the form of oral or written instructions and work may be reviewed, in process or upon completion, by a supervisor or designee.
