Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in criminal law, excellent trial skills, and a commitment to advocating for clients facing criminal charges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in a variety of criminal cases
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
- Develop defense strategies and manage all phases of litigation.
- Negotiate with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Prepare and present cases in court, including trials and hearings.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to strengthen case strategies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar license.
- Minimum of 2-7 years of experience in criminal defense.
- Strong understanding of California criminal law and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven trial experience and strong courtroom presence (preferred)
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions.
- Commitment to ethical practice and client advocacy.
