Criminal Defense Attorney - Gpac

We are working with a firm in the area that is seeking a an Experienced Criminal Defense Attorney in Westlake Village, CA to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal representation and advice to clients facing criminal charges.
• Conduct thorough research and investigation to build a strong defense strategy.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and appeals.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to effectively manage caseload.
• Stay up to date with criminal laws, regulations, and legal precedents

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze case facts, evidence, and witness statements to develop effective defense arguments.
• Draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and pleadings, to support client defense.
• Negotiate plea bargains and settlements on behalf of clients, when appropriate.
• Present persuasive oral arguments in court to defend clients' rights and interests.
• Advocate for clients during all stages of the legal process, ensuring fair treatment and just outcomes.

Skills:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Admitted to practice law in California
• 2-7 years of practicing criminal defense law
• Solid understanding of criminal laws and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
