About the Job
Our Crisis Center Advocate provides peer counseling, advocacy, accompaniment and support to domestic violence and/or sexual assault clients and their families.
The Intervention & Prevention - Calaveras Crisis Center provides services for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. In addition, The Crisis Center offers counseling for children victim of crimes and prevention education in local schools
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of prior social service or crisis intervention experience preferred
Special Requirements
- Must complete required 66 hours of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault training within 6 months of hire date
- Valid California Driver's License
- Proof of current automobile insurance coverage
- Criminal background clearance
- Willingness to work irregular hours, attend night meetings and travel as required by the organization
