Responsible for overseeing multiple hospital cost centers within Critical Care Department. Required to employ independent problem solving, judgment and decision-making in the areas of budget, personnel, patient services and administrative or professional programs. Required to apply business principles as needed within a clinical department. Leads initiatives in strategic planning, operational and financial analysis, utilization management, and productivity enhancement. Responsible for working closely with the Director of Critical Care Services in the planning, administration, control and quality management of Critical Care services for the Northside Hospital system. Has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for assigned areas.

1. B.S. degree in Nursing or related healthcare field and a minimum of three (3) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
2. Good written and oral communication skills.

PREFERRED:

1. Master's degree in Nursing.

2. Two (2) years clinical experience in specialty area.

3. Prefer at least (5) years experience.
