Critical Facility Technician
Location: Northlake, IL
Salary: DOE
We are currently seeking a 0 Technician to join our growing team. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role involves hands-on analysis, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our 24x7 facility operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment
- Maintain and operate various mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life safety systems, temperature control systems, and building management systems
- Coordinate and supervise electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs
- Ensure compliance with all change control processes
- Schedule and oversee preventive, contracted, and general maintenance activities
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintenance work instructions
- Operate and monitor critical system equipment, overseeing work efforts including third-party contractors
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer concerns
- Monitor building operations during scheduled shifts
- Evaluate and assign safe work responsibilities, ensuring compliance with safety procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma and minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years' experience as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician
- Electrical/mechanical certifications preferred
- Willingness to work overtime and longer shifts, including day/night/weekend/holiday shifts
- Proficiency in MS Office
