Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Field Device Specialist Responsibilities:
- Perform Pacemaker & ICD interrogations to Sorin/Microport patients
- Provide Pacemaker & ICD implant support within area of geographic responsibilities
- Troubleshoot critical device issues and take immediate steps towards resolution
- Provide technical and administrative support when required for European devices, programmer and training will be provided
- Educate and assist clinics with the management of remote device checks, alerts and patient enrollment
- Complete equipment requests utilizing Microport website
- Maintain comprehensive product and technical knowledge of all Sorin/Microport bradycardia and tachycardia products
- Competency in all aspects of Pacemaker and ICD implant and follow-up
- Provide on-call coverage 24 hours per day and up to 7 days a week including weekend call on a rotating schedule, based on territory
- Required to travel and provide support anywhere within the territory with cross-over coverage during emergencies when necessary
- Must have/obtain Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) Certification; candidates that are not certified must obtain certification within two years of hire date
- All other duties as assigned
Travel/Availability requirements:
- Provide 24-hour, 7 day a week on-call territory coverage (including holidays, weekends, evenings)
- Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings
- Ability to travel outside of assigned territory as needed
- Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory
- Must be available to travel out of the assigned territory (expected to be less than 20%)
- Must have a valid driver license and current vehicle insurance policy
- Must obey all traffic laws
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemaker and AICD's or current Cardiac Device Technology Certificate from a recognized device training school
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the company
- Demonstrated critical thinking ability to resolve problems and carry out instruction
- Ability to effectively collaborate with physicians regarding device status and accurately document device analysis
