A large and busy 183-bed hospital is seeking a CRNA for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Darby, Pennsylvania. The care team model operates with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio, managing 7-8 points of service each day, including both operating room (OR) and endoscopy (endo) procedures. A medical direction model is in place, ensuring that an MD is always overseeing the CRNAs. The point of service count is four, with one CRNA on-site at all times, while the MD team handles beeper call responsibilities. The facility offers a diverse case mix, including cardiac cases (though not required), general surgery, ENT, GI, orthopedic, GYN, podiatry, plastics, interventional radiology (IR), and urology. Shifts are structured as either 8-hour or 10-hour blocks, contributing to an annual volume of approximately 6,800 cases. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC, and the credentialing process typically takes around 120 days.
